 Underworld vs. The Surface

A lot of us were on the server a few minutes ago and we had a really badass RP. Basically it's two teams, the Underworld and the Surface, on Downtown v2.

The Underworld people live in the sewers. They Have their own gundealer, medic, citizens, etc. They pretty much stay down there and RP like regular people. They make their shanty broken down homes from props, and barricade the sewers to keep out people from the Surface. (While still leaving a main entry/exit point and a way to be infiltrated without cheating.) The Underworld usually has the lesser amount of players, as the sewers have a limited space.

The Surface people live outside in the City, in the rest of the map. They also have their own gundealer, medic, citizens and so on. Basically whoever does NOT live in the Underworld is on the Surface team.

Now this RP is very new, it was just played for the first time not long ago, but it has the potential to be really good. All we have so far is that the Underworld and the Surface are at war with eachother. Every now and then they will try to raid eachother's territory and kill their occupants, while looting/destroying whatever they can. The Underworld people will try and sneak into the city and surprise attack it, while leaving a few people behind to guard the Underworld itself. The people of the surface will occasionally make raid teams to sneak into the sewers and also attack the Underworld by surprise.

I know this sounds A LOT like a DM game, but GOD DAMNIT IT IS FUN, and it does still involve RP. What we could do is have everyone on both teams still RP like regular people. They will have jobs, interact with eachother, and be like regular RP societies, while always being on guard for the next attack. It will be like living during wartime.

What we need to do is organize it better. We need to come up with actual goals and ways to determine when an attack is over, and who won it. All it is right now is raid and kill eachother every now and then, but we could give it a purpose with a little thought. Also we need to figure out some solid teams. Mope said that he could get another server up, so if we can figure out a way to do this then we could use that server without minging up the main RP one.

Looks very promising if we can keep it under control. We definitely need to try this sometime soon.

I just played this 30 minutes ago on the server and it was great. However I do agree it could use some organization. Perhaps new classes instead of a new server?

Each side could have items that they could try and steal from each other. Think capture the flag but more than one and put in different places. It would give some point to the raids.

Okay, if Mope can do it then let's go for it. I also like the sort of capture the flag idea, since, when I raided the surface I really didn't know what to do besides running around spraying people with my ak.

Replace hobo with the Underworld Citizen, set money back to normal citizen money, and remove bugbait.

Make a /security command that allows people to spawn with stun sticks and handguns. No voting is required.

Done. Now all surface citizens look like humans while all under world citizens look like (ghouls).
Is this correct? Did you want them to have the hobo model?

I also made an eli underworld version of the gun dealer for easy identification.

The ip address of the server is: 75.32.231.148:27016
It is currently up.

The password is: underworld

Try it out and make sure you can spawn guns with the gun dealer class.

Only thing is we'd have to have seperate spawn points for each group too.
